Area Five partners with two local agencies in Howard County to offer nutritious meals to seniors over 60 years of age Monday through Friday. The Kokomo Senior Center at Forest Park, 721 W Superior Street, in Kokomo, offers meals Monday through Friday for a donation. Those who are 59 and under pay $4.50 per meal. These meals are offered for a donation and are created fresh every day at the Area Five Agency kitchen by the Culinary Team. All meals meet or exceed the daily recommended and/or required minimums for a healthy senior meal. Please keep in mind reservations are required 2 days in advance for a meal. You may stop in or call the center directly at 765-456-7577. Area Five also offers meals through a partnership with Friendship Haven Apartments on 2600 W Jefferson St in Kokomo. The same reservation process applies. For Friendship Haven meals, you will call 574-722-4451 ext. 1243 and ask for Pam. She will be happy to help you reserve your meal at the site.
